The main objective of this training programme was to provide better hands on training for III-year BVSc&AH students about the modern molecular methods for diagnosis of diseases in poultry and animals.

The workshop was organised by Dr. Sheela Ramamoorthy, who has expertise in the field of veterinary microbiology and is working as a faculty in North Dakota State University, USA. In the workshop, lectures were provided on the basics of molecular microbiological methods and hands on training on ELISA and PCR were provided. The students were collectively informed about the clinical and laboratory diagnosis. The participants were toppers from III-year BVSc&AH from MVC, Chennai and VCRI, Namakkal college.
